Performance Measures Blueprint Workshops - Melbourne in July May 21st 2007

Are you still struggling with KPIs? Effective Process Management (BPM) provides organisations with the ability to manage and measure their performance. In my experience one of the most difficult technical tasks in implementing BPM is the ability to develop effective process measures as the business KPIs that should context them are so poor or even absent. According to our colleague, Stacey Barr (the Performance Measure Specialist), most organisations struggle to design meaningful performance measures because they don't have a rigorous step-by-step process capable of producing measures that:
  • are meaningful and relevant to your goals (even the intangible goals!)
  • are results-oriented, not activity-oriented (surely you're tired of counting widgets for no real purpose?)
  • have lots of buy-in from your staff (no more sweeping bad results under the rug)
  • are properly brought to life so you can use them (instead of debating whether the data is wrong)
  • help you make performance improve (no need to CYA when you achieve your goals!)
Stacey occasionally runs a very highly commended workshop called the "Performance Measure Blueprint Workshop", and it's all about the step-by-step process of developing meaningful performance measures that align to strategy and also have loads of buy-in from staff. The next workshop is on 25th and 26th July, in Melbourne. Register using the attached registration form (which you can fill out and fax or email) so that she knows I have sent you.
