BPM in Government - International Workshop July 30th 2007

Continuing on the theme of bringing BPM research and the industry closer together is the 1st International Workshop on the Management of Business Processes in Government. The workshop is part of BPM 2007 - the fifth in a conference series that provides one of the most prestigious forums for researchers and practitioners in all aspects of BPM. An explicit aim of BPM 2007 is to contribute to a closer link between BPM academics and practitioners through a series of workshops, tutorials, and co-located events.

The workshop to be held in Brisbane on Friday 28th September is intended for an international audience of researchers and practitioners in government, industry, and academia who are concerned with developing and deploying improvements to government business processes. It has the support of National ICT Australia (NICTA) and the National Centre for Information Systems and Research (NCISR) of the Australian National University (ANU). The workshop is endorsed by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

The Programme for the International Workshop on the Management of Business Processes in Government includes two keynote presentations: one from the Queensland Government office of the CIO; and another from the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO). In addition, there will be Technical Papers and Experience Reports.
