| BPM Webinar - Models for Sustained Transformation (17-JUL-08) |
July 15th 2008 |
Date : Thursday, July 17, 2008 Time : Australia: 1.00pm (EST) | New Zealand: 3.00pm (NZST) Duration : 45 minutes
In this webinar , I will cover some of the key models that describe some of the more foundational principles of process-thinking that we sometimes forget when embarking on process improvement projects, introducing technologies, or even mapping and modeling our enterprise processes.
The value of introducing change is only as good as your ability to sustain the change after the 'initiative' is over. With so many process improvement methods and technologies available to us, it struck me that there are still very few true examples of sustained enterprise-wide process-driven business change.
This has focussed much of my thinking, writing, and consulting on some of the more fundamental aspects of Business Process Management. My hypothesis is that there are two prevalent 'truths' in organisations today:
1. The maturity of process-thinking is relatively low 2. Process Improvement methods (such as Six Sigma) and process technologies are quite mature
The ability to successfully introduce and sustain process and technology improvements is dependent on the capability of the business to manage it's processes on an ongoing basis. This webinar introduces some models to assist in focusing on the foundation capabilities of BPM.
