View on BPM BPM is a methodology for bringing business and IT functions into a common paradigm from which process improvement can be achieved
Presentation In a complex and very large organisation like Centrelink one of the challenges is to ensure that people have a good grasp of their roles, from understanding the bigger picture to knowing what information is needed at what point in a process to achieve the right outcome for the customer. To meet this challenge, and to ensure process efficiency and consistency in the sensitive area of fraud investigation and management, Centrelink has developed a process model that facilitated the introduction of improved process management and combined process and knowledge flows in to an interactive business model. The result is a tool that assists staff to do their job by identifying and filling their knowledge requirements at every point in the process and, at the same time, assisting with the management of processes at the national level.
Key Takeaways- An understanding of how process models can achieve benefits not normally associated from process modelling
- An appreciation of the methodologies used to develop the business model
- An insight in to BPM in Centrelink.
