Imre Hegedus
Bachelor of App. Sci., Bachelor of Arts, Post Grad. Dip. in Management

Imre is passionate about improving business performance. By enabling others to realise their potential through process and quality methods he has developed a reputation for delivering real value through process-based methods, models and designs. Assisting businesses in their early stages of 'process thinking' to establish their own capabilities is a speciality.

Real Business Experience
15 years corporate experience has seen Imre influence at the most senior organisational levels on the case for BPM. He has led teams that:

• Coached Process Directors and other senior managers on BPM
• Managed the deployment of Six Sigma training
• Developed Process Baselines – detailing the standard process
• Developed Project Baselines – aligning all initiatives to the Process Model thereby reducing duplicate projects and improving processes once, and for the customer
• Developed Cost Baselines – managing the cost drivers from a process perspective
• Identified Transformational Capabilities – shaping the process visions and determining the future capabilities the company requires in each of it's processes

Doing so involved designing and establishing the enabling infrastructures including:

• Enterprise-wide Process Models
• Process Ownership and Governance at the most senior levels
• Job Descriptions and Key Performance Indicators for Process Owners
• Process Management Business Model
• Process Measurement Framework
• Process Repository
• Process Management Maturity Model
• Ongoing Process Performance and Accountability Reviews
• Alignment and benchmarking with Industry Reference Models

Imre has run internal business reviews using Business Excellence Frameworks and integrated the findings into the Strategy and Business Planning processes.

Strategic Consultant
Building on this experience, Imre has established a consulting practice focussing on "improving business performance through process management". Imre has consulted to some of the largest corporations in Australia and New Zealand.

Passion for Process
Imre has led the development of a number of networking forums relating to Quality and BPM. He has undertaken various community roles including chair of the Victorian Teams Network of the Australian Quality Council and adjudicator for the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries Quality Teams Network. More recently, Imre established a series of BPM Chapters in Australia, the UK, Canada, and North America.

BPMlink
Imre oversees the running of BPMlink - an online portal community that complements the on-the-ground network of process and change management professionals. Established in 2005 by Imre, the BPMLink Forum is the longest running collaborative Business Process Management Forum in the Asia Pacific region. Indeed, it can claim to be one of the largest and the most active face-to-face BPM forums in the world. The reputation of BPMlink and its leaders continues to attract significant interest from internationally recognised ‘BPM expert’ organisations. The chapters welcome participation from process and change practitioners, vendors, consultants and academics.
